SYNOPSIS

Nearly 80 years after the end of the Second World War, Julia stands on a field in Normandy, France. Wearing her German Wehrmacht uniform, she represents an ideology she does not believe in, from a world in which she was not a part of. 

​

Julia is of Russian origin, yet fully embodies a German anti-aircraft gun operator from the 1940’s -  a character she invented for her reenactment hobby. She is fully aware of the darkness of the past, yet decides to live in the world she created for herself. The movie ponders the question of whether one becomes the role that they play.
